Michael Roads and his wife, Treenie, are inspiring individuals whose perseverance in following Truth has led them through a challenging journey of personal transformation and self discovery. As a result, they live happy and fulfilling lives as Self-Realized human beings, sharing their insights through Michael’s books and seminars presented world-wide. Michael is the author of several books on organic gardening, a quartet of metaphysical books that detail his inner journey, and the metaphysical novel, Getting There (Hampton Roads) which was voted “best visionary fiction of the year” at the 1999 International New Age Trade Show in Denver, Colorado. Michael and Treenie also present their five day Roadsway Re*treats world wide, inspiring others to explore the reality which exists beyond physical appearance.

Michael’s personal journey, detailed in the books Talking With Nature, Journey Into Nature, Journey Into Oneness and Into a Timeless Realm (HJ Kramer) reveal him to be a man of extraordinary courage, determination and perseverance. These books, he says, recount a nine year period of immense metaphysical activity and growth, coming at a time when they had just emerged from many years of farming. This quartet is priceless as a completely honest and vulnerable account of one man’s opening to Truth. Michael’s openness in sharing his personal fear, doubt and sense of inadequacy, and his simple, light-hearted and often humorous rendition of experiences that were profound and overwhelming, allow his journey to resonate with each one of us. Michael maintains that he had to overcome a strong addiction to pain and suffering, and a crippling lack of self-esteem, in order to realize his Truth. His humility in exposing these aspects of himself opens the possibility that ‘awakening’ is not for the fortunate few but rather an organic response to questioning the mind’s belief systems and conditioning. Treenie’s journey, though different from Michael’s, has paralleled his, and her gentle wisdom and support underpin his journey on every level. Their relationship has been a love story that Michael has drawn on in his novel Getting There, which uses his life as a lens to explore the awakening process. The wisdom and insight gained from their experiences have been distilled into the Roadsway Re*treats.

“The main thrust of the Re*treats is to open people to the realization of Self and to the vast potential that awaits every human being when they choose to open to Truth,” states Michael. “For me this is both a giving and a receiving. Michael describes himself as a catalyst rather than a coach, stating, “I teach people to practice a Greater Reality until eventually it overwhelms consensus illusion.
