First and foremost, you have to decide which way you are going to view this. Are you going to see it from the overview of an eagle, or are you going to see it as an earthbound mouse? In other words, are you going to be open to truth, or will you stay attached to consensus reality? This is important for you to clarify in your mind and consciousness. What is perfectly clear in the view of truth is usually quite unacceptable to the preconceived beliefs of consensus reality. Maybe this will test your own, more subconscious, reality.
Truth: nothing by accident, nothing by chance. Consensus reality: accidents happen. Quite a choice! Which one do you automatically lean toward? If it is Truth, then you are well along your path. Psychics of repute, clairvoyants and seers, intuitives, ancient cultural predictions and many omens all point toward major changes taking place on our planet in the first decade or so of this new century. Big capitol C changes! Changes that will touch practically every human being. And we do not like change, especially big Change. We resist it. We don’t seem to realise that when we resist Change it is rather like living in a house resisting flood water. We open the door to Change and a trickle comes in, so we slam shut the door in alarm. The flood waters of Change grow deeper and deeper, so we bolt and bar the door, hoping that the flood will subside. But it does not. The unrelenting flood waters of Change become ever deeper and more powerful, until, with explosive energy they smash the door off the house, and the house off its foundations. And . . . Change happens!
Spell tsunami like this: C-h-a-n-g-e! First of all, let go of all concepts of retribution. Move into accepting that all life is one. Realise that Oneness makes no judgement of Oneness. Accept that life is the flowing river of consciousness; life is not stuck-in-the-mud of safety. We humans are addicted to safety and security, never realizing that the price we pay is stagnation in the growth of human consciousness. Life does not flow creatively in stagnation, so life seeks to Change it. Every ice age heralds Change in Nature, climatic Change on a massive scale. With our present climatic warming we are involved in earth Changes that are considered unparalleled in earth history in-as-much as the speed of change is concerned. Let me redefine or expand on the meaning of change. For us, true Change takes place in our consciousness. When this happens we experience the powerful alchemy of change. We need this, yet we resist it. All of us resist, all cultures, religions, the very wealthy and the poverty-stricken, we all resist true inner Change. All disease and sickness, even death, is about Change to the immortal soul we are. And there we have it. Soul cries out for Change and growth, while identity and habit cling to more-of-the-same. The tsunami was not an accident, not out of timing, not a freak of Nature, not retribution, not sent by an angry God . . . but powerful Change. Let’s look at this. When the 11/9 tower incident took place, the world was shocked. The media made sure of that! It seems that approximately 3,000 people tragically died in the catastrophe. The same day approximately 40,000 people tragically died of starvation in the Third World countries, most of them children. Did you read about that? No. And for years, every day before the 11/9 incident and every day since, people are dying of starvation in similar numbers in the Third World countries. Yet, somehow, it does not hit our shock and compassion buttons in the way it should.
Suddenly - on Boxing Day - a tsunami of death sweeps across the ocean, and people die in the many thousands. This ‘does’ catch our attention. This ‘does’ hit our shock and compassion button. Kill people slowly and constantly and we can ignore it. Disease, dictators, and wars kill millions of people annually and we somehow ignore it. Yet with the timing, the power, and the shock of the sudden tsunami, we open up to Change as has seldom happened before. Like a miracle, the tidal wave of a tsunami was transformed into a tidal wave of compassion.
Did you feel it? During the forty-eight hours following the tsunami I felt two distinct waves of emotional energy engulf me as a huge wave of emotion swept round and around the planet. I could not avoid empathy with the emotion. For me, two strong waves of emotion about twenty hours apart, followed by a third faint one. I suspect that whether aware of it or not, every human was touched by it. Nothing happens by accident. The gift from the tsunami was twofold. Deep inner Change for everyone in any way involved, including those who went through the death of their physical bodies to again learn that they are immortal metaphysical Beings, and Change that touchedeveryone in the world who felt and responded to the wave of compassion.
The Australian Government has pledged an unprecedented one billion dollars over the next five years to help rebuild Indonesia. A charity event on all television channels raised twenty million dollars. A special cricket match raised a further fifteen million dollars, plus many more millions of dollars are being raised by other more local events. This is happening in many other countries. The wave of compassion has touched deeply into our human consciousness - and yet, we are the beneficiaries.
You have a choice: you can focus on the horror of endings, or the power of new beginnings. We cannot have the Newness of Change on this planet sweeping its fresh open energy into our lives while we tenaciously cling to old patterns of behavior, old routines, outmoded ways of approaching life, and especially, old fears. Life is indicating that we are Beings of Newness that Newness is the elixir of life, and we are ignoring it. Either we become open to life, releasing outmoded ways of thinking and acting, or the flow of consciousness that is life will smash its Truth into our lives. The shock of the tsunami has impacted the world. I do hope that we learn from this. Considering the destructive capabilities of Nature this tsunami would probably register 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. Remember, de-structuring always precedes restructuring!
There are tsunamis designed to make the whole world sit up and take notice, and there are tsunamis - by another name - in your own life designed to make you, personally, sit up and take notice of what is happening in your world. Don’t dig in, becoming ever more entrenched. Let go, release the attachments, and allow Change its magic of alchemy.
